Riva 5K Run / Walk

Here at Choisser Import Auto Services, we do our best to give back to our community. Recently, we were involved with a community 5K Run & Walk located in nearby Riva, MD. The mission of the Riva 5K is to raise money for the South River Federation to protect, preserve, restore, and celebrate the South River and its watershed.
The South River Federation
Funds raised during the Riva 5K Run/Walk went towards supporting the South River Federation. This federation aims to protect the South River watershed located in Anne Arundel County, MD and which covers approximately 66 square miles; including 200 miles of streams and 10 square miles of open water. Funds raised go to cleaning up the south river as well as installing rain gardens, landowner education, and more.
Choisser and the Riva 5K
Choisser Import Auto Services helped support the Riva 5K in a variety of ways. Leading up to the event, Choisser handed out race bags at the Riva Volunteer Fire Department with the Riva 5K support team. On race day itself, we were filling participant’s water bottles before and after the race. Then, following the race any of those who attended the event, and brought in the Riva 5K flyer to Choisser, had 10% of their service cost donated to the South River Federation
